For me, my girlfriends and "The Bride"!
Even though all the details were planned in advance, I rushed up on Friday -- packing a glue gun -- to help finish some of the final decor details for my dear friend's daughter's wedding.
She will be married this Friday evening at the new event venue in north Dallas -"The Piazza at the Village" - made famous by WE-TV's Wedding Channel "Platinum Weddings"!
Usually, most of my visits to Big 'D' are always at a much slower Texas-style pace - leisurely enjoying the sights, shopping and all that Dallas offers.
Not this time.
There were final checks on the guest lists. Seating arrangements to be made. Table cards needing labels. Ribbons to measure and cut. Feather hair pieces to be designed. And made. And on and on and on....
But, briefly each day, we were able to stop and take a break and layout by the pool, watch a movie, or go out to dinner.
So, 'cheers' to my dears (BFFs from high school), and 'congrats' to sweet Keely and Dylan!
As we say and sing in Texas...
P.S. Here is a small tablescape of color I pulled together to make an impromptu inspiration board for the wedding designs. Obviously, the bride's colors are 'perfectly peacock', so my gift to the bride and groom was a set of custom handbeaded cake servers, (a 'Serving Love Set' from my Bridal Love Collection on Etsy) that I was able to create one day while the bride was at work. She will be using them at the Piazza and you can see them LIVE on streaming video at the reception this Friday, June 18, at 7 PM!'May the road go on forever, and the party never end!"
