Candy Corn Day?

Could there be a possibility of renaming 'All Hallows Eve' to 'Candy Corn Day?'

Well, I'm not sure, but one thing I know I AM sure about, is that I've already had my fair share of the orange & yellow stuff!

While munching, I also found some great ideas that go with the whole Candy Corn theme...I discovered quite a few over on Amy Atlas Events. Just when you think you've seen it all, here's a few new takes on an old Halloween favorite!
Happy Candy Corn Day!

Speaking of weddings,....I found this site last year, and thought it was SO over-the-top strange, that I HAD to share again!  Haunt Style is all about adding 'creepiness' into your life.  (Say what????)
Well, I don't need 'creepy', but I found it so uniquely weird, that I had to post!
Geez, I don't know about you, but it puts a whole new face on romance!

'Baby Girl' got married in a vintage-themed fall wedding four days ago.
After having 300 guests, we've been recuperating since, but while we're waiting for our professional photographer to send us final proofs, I just had to post a picture or two taken by friends and family at the reception, which was held in a historic 'home-turned-museum'.
Even though these pics don't do the evening justice, it's a first look at a magical night!  More to come!

Hand-dipped Caramel Apples, wrapped and tied with ribbons in the bride's colors of cypress, spiced wine and copper - were the fun fall favors!
A separate dessert table also held old-fashioned goodies, but the custom-designed chocolate miniatures were a fresh, new addition to the table.  Even the label showed the couple's 'brand' new way to say 'thank you'!

The bride's cake table featured a two-tiered autumn Spice Cake for cutting, while the cupcake tower spilled over with Pumpkin-Chocolate Chip and Buttercream cupcakes!  So yummy!

The VERY happy couple!  (They're yummy too!)

A Sparkling Texas Tradition...

Fireworks aren't just for the Fourth of July anymore!
Here in Texas, we celebrate BIG, and that includes with a BANG!
So, it comes as no surprise that sparklers are used these days at the end of a wedding reception, instead of the traditional rice throwing.  And many times, the celebration actually ends with a fireworks display - which of course is when the party is out in the country!
Well, here's an idea on what to do with those extra pieces of colorful ribbons you may have from tying bows,
or wrapping gifts in the bridal colors.
Use them to tie up sparkler 'bouquets'!
A great way to bundle up the loose sparklers, and another fun way to carry the bride's colors right to the very end of her big day -
without the loud bang!

Ten Days and Counting!

Ten days.  Just ten more days! Until....

I've been so TOTALLY absorbed in planning this incredibly awesome Fall wedding these last few weeks,
that I've kinda put my blog on hold...well, at least until now!

I will share ALL the details (and more) here after October 16th, so stay tuned...but for now, here's a little hint:
After a small private family wedding ceremony, what's next?
A HUGE reception, TEXAS-style, that's what!!
In the meantime, let's help 'get this party started' with the proposal pic taken last Christmas!
